Our deluxe mixed nuts is one of our top selling items and includes cashews, almonds, pecans, brazil nuts and filberts. They can be purchased with or without salt and in 2.5 pound bags or 25 pound cases.
What Do You Get?
Each package of deluxe mixed nuts comes with five different fancy nuts:
- Cashews: Always a hit with our customers, our cashews are rich and flavorful. Being one of the most versatile tree nuts, cashews have a variety of health benefits including promoting heart health, boosting immunities and regulating blood sugar.
- Almonds: In addition to their health benefits, almonds are perfect for snacking and creating many recipes. At CJ Dannemiller, we source only the highest quality almonds and, believe it or not, almonds aren’t actually nuts, but rather seeds of a fruit from the almond tree.
- Pecans: A southern favorite, the pecan is universally known for its crisp and buttery flavor that is great on salads, for snacking or in a homemade pecan pie. Like many other tree nuts, pecans can come in different sizes including mammoth and junior mammoth.
- Brazil Nuts: The brazil midget redskin has always been a popular addition to many nut mixes. This flavorful nut is gluten free and its milk a great alternative to cow’s milk. Brazil nuts are excellent in salads since they offer numerous health benefuts, such as inflammation reduction and antioxidant properties.
- Filberts: More commonly known as hazelnuts, filberts are a stable in many confectionary processes. They are often paired with chocolate and their distinct taste is easily identifiable. Peak harvest time is mid to late August, which falls close to St. Philbert Day, which is how hazelnuts developed the filbert alias.
