We offer a wide variety of peanuts, including in-the-shell, shelled, raw, roasted, blanched, flavored and even granulated. Our bulk blanched peanuts – one of the most popular sellers in our peanut category – come in several forms and can be purchased 2.5, 30 or 110 pound bag.
Different Types of Peanuts
Not only do we offer a variety of peanuts, but our wholesale blanched peanuts came in several different types:
- Raw (Salted or Unsalted): To blanch peanuts, we quickly submerse them in hot water, rapidly cool them, then rub off their skins. Once the skins are removed, we spread them on paper to dry and package them – either salted or unsalted – in the designated amounts.
- Roasted (Salted or Unsalted): Since blanched peanuts do not sit in the hot water long enough for any actual cooking process to occur, they can still be roasted afterwards. Although roasting can damage some of the healthy fats found in peanuts, they are still largely similar to raw peanuts.
- XL Virginia: Virginia peanuts are the largest form of peanut and are also known as ballpark peanuts since they are most commonly consumed for snacking. They account for 15% of the total U.S. production and are grown mainly in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and West Texas.
- Medium J. Runner: Runner peanuts are uniform in kernel size, which makes them perfect for even roasting. They are most commonly used for peanut butter and account for 80% of the peanuts grown in the United States – primarily in Georgie, Texas, Alabama, Florida, South Carolina and Oklahoma.
